Wave Crashing on Reef - Limited Edition 1 of 5 Photograph

Walking on the reef at full tide, I happened to catch this shot just as the sun was about to dip below the cove I was at. The color and motion, add to the shot. I just thought it was beautiful in the action and timing of the shot. It was a late afternoon in Laguna Beach, California and I love to walk my dogs along the beach. For some reason, I decided to leave my dogs alone on the beach and venture out onto the reef. I had no idea why, since I did not think there was much to shoot as the high tide had already come in and had hidden the reef below. Just as the water receded and the wave broke, I happen to look down and take this shot. Timing can create some beautiful and unexpected shots, and I am thankful I decided to venture out onto the reef to capture this one!
