About The Artwork
The hurricane had come from the backside. Up through Mexico from Pacific waters. At its peak, it was 160 knots. But the mountains in Chiapas tore it apart and its remnants arrived in Galveston a tropical storm, swiftly moving through as a "Rain Event". Hurricanes remind us of our insignificance. The fern is the glory in the storm, radiated goldenrod giving the lowly wild plant a corona, even immersed in sheets of water.
