About The Artwork
Image was created while pursuing Wild Mustangs on the Gila River Reservation in an ultralight plane. I shot more than 300 images during our 2 1/2 hour flight in the airspace above the desert south of Phoenix. The fall colors, apparent in November, provided beautiful contrast to the golden brown mustangs. On some of our low passes over the horses, the wheels of the ultralight plane hit the tops of the palo verde trees in the desert. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that this photographer will never forget!
