About The Artwork
Black and white abstract monotype print using the transfer method. I have drawn on the back of printmaking paper after laying it on an inked plate. I use a drawing tool that does not leave a mark; the finished drawing is spontaneous and intuitive, and I do not know what the image will look like until I lift the paper from the plate. This work explores mark-making and gestural movement.
