My work tries to filter the adult taboos or erotic images to the post porn realm. Where the viewer no longer sees the adult matters but to the realm of when their inner child would just see playfull creativity. It's the viewers personal history that may affect how and why they view the work differently than another veiwer. Outlining just where we lost our playfulness and youthful outlook from soical norms.
The work delves from when I came across some of my fathers erotic magazines and remembered how upset he was when I drew over his porn magazines. However as a child I did not recognize this as porn but just another medium to use in my creativity. Only as an adult could I see the background but I truly liked what i did as a child that it filtered the subject matter into something else other than pornpgraphy.
The subject in the background is a vinatge photo of a male model and the similarities that classic artists took interest in the make figure.
