Serigraphy-documentation of a sculpture exhibit in 2015 at the Havana Biennial. In 1905 Henry Morrison Flagler had an idea, and drew a map of a railroad on his bedside table. The union between New York and Key West, and later Key West with Havana. When the project was born, at the beginning of the 20th century, it was called “The Flagler Chimera”. For more than 20 years, there was the route known as ”Havana Special”: The passengers bought their ticket in the Big Apple to Havana, but they could never use it. The sculpture is inspired by this story, apparently, it is a pedestrian bridge whose construction is based on the data and the little information found in the History Museum archive in Miami about the Flagler project. It is a bridge without beginning or end, a monument to the ephemeral.
