About The Artwork

This is one of my Allegoric series paintings that are intended as poster format art, created into a Pop-Art style of mine. Note: This painting was created months if not about a year before 'Google Glass' came out. FAST OXYGEN As I always say for most paintings I do, especially for this section of my gallery, please have a good study of this image and at least try to give it your own interpretation before you carry on reading. It usually makes looking at a painting much more fun, as if ‘reading’ the image instead. This in particular is a futuristic statement inspired by today’s pace of life and we can only imagine how it could be in the future. It’s been known long time ago that knowledge is power, on an individual scale and on a national one too. History has shown us this and it will always be, certainly. It will change in ways by transcending, acquiring it, passing-on the batten, sharing and learning even more. Just imagine how it would be on a worldwide scale with everyone catching up with one another. How powerful for humanity! Let’s start off with the character in this picture, the human being. Androgynous looking, sleek, smooth and smart, yet the he or she is being bombarded with information from everywhere, wherever and always, instantly. Having a closer look, those shades are his/her screen for the internet which has become more sophisticated. Not only can instant messages be seen, but moving images too, with sound at real time, always alert. The headset has become the accessory, a necessity, the dependency or one will be left behind. It could be too much, so much so entrancing from the cacophony of choice in the surrounding. Like the satellites around the person, constantly drawing us in. It’s a here and now situation, but is there a saturation point? There’s something new all the time! It is a fix, it is fast and part of life, just like oxygen. It could become that everyone tries to get ahead and more people will, with better access. Having more people coming up with ideas, regenerating ways in how we will live. Perhaps even, how to come up with ways on how to regenerate the energy we’ll need. Possibly it will be renewable, possibly cheap hydrogen or laser and atomic regeneration of energy. Who knows? We are going to have to come up with more ideas to get to Mars and beyond. Information technology is the future, it will be our dominator. OIL ON BOXED CANVAS 60cm X 60cm X 3.3cm

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
