It was 10 years later that Kristjana stumbled upon some 19th Century Venetian stereoscopic prints by photographic pioneer, Carlo Ponti. A symphony of bird-song rises melodically from the iconic neo-classical palazzos of Venice's Grand Canal, their sun bleached walls imbibed with a colour and florescence as unfamiliar as the confident habitation of its avian residents.
