About The Artwork
An original etching and aquatint of a small highland bothy ruin, set amidst the mountainous landscape of the Scottish Highlands. The drawing was made directly onto a metal plate that was coated with an acid-resistant ground and then etched in an acid bath. Tone was added with the use of aquatint. For each print, the metal plate is hand-inked and pulled through an etching press under high pressure. Edition size: 30 Paper: Fabriano Rosapina 220gsm Signed, named and numbered in pencil The dimensions below shows the size of the actual image - there is a paper border of approx 5.5cm around all sides to allow for framing.
