About The Artwork
This is a limited edition of eight screen prints which are mounted with white board. Often when starting out to draw the basic outlines of my image I don't have a preconceived idea of my subject matter. That evolves from what I see in the rudimentary line work. In this case my love of bold colours and shapes, of life in general, together with my background as an interior designer has led me to paint this female figure set in an interior but almost too big for her boundaries.

In my figurative work I aim to capture the atmosphere or emotion of my subject matter in an expressive way. Depending on the mood I'm in, this can be either using bold colours and shapes or a more delicate rendering. My abstracts are mainly about energy and composition but whatever style or technique I am using colour is a must!
