About The Artwork
This is a two plate etching. It belongs to a series where I was interested in creating a visual representation to childhood experiences. Allowing the initial collage to dictate the drawing, Red Riding Hiding refers to those moments of hiding, albeit badly, from adults. I like combing the photographic with drawn line and aquatint. It is a way for me to bring together the realm of the existing with the maybe possible. All my prints are on Fabriano paper and have hand torn, decolled edges. This print was exhibited in Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin 2013.
