Original oil painting sold. This is my favourite painting and was very experimental, I used my favourite colours. It was based on how Degas would paint Rodin's 'The Kiss'. Great fun to make and I think the balance is just right. My work focuses on tone, shape and form. I always try to imbue a sketchy and 'unfinished' feel. This is a brand new print run - near-perfect Digital Reproductions now available. They come with a certificate of authenticity and are signed and numbered. CANVAS Each is printed on beautiful Hahnemühle Leonardo Canvas 390gsm, a white, poly-cotton canvas that guarantees archival standards. It’s surface is water resistant and hard-wearing.

I am a classically trained artist specialising in capturing the female form. I also teach life-drawing and offer private art tuition from my studio in Windsor. As you can see I specialise in capturing the female form - subtle, classical nudes in oil, charcoal, graphite and red chalk. I trained at Heatherley's School of Art, London and The National College of Art & Design in Dublin. My work has been included in the books ‘Images of Women in Art’ and ‘Musings of Miss Yellow’. Testimonial “Patrick Palmer is a modern master of figurative art. His post-romantic nudes are not only exquisitely painted, but also dreamy, delicate and suggestive. They only hint at sensuality and evoke fantasy in the subtle and elegant manner that distinguishes art from pornography.” Claudia Moscovici, Co-founder of and art critic (“Romanticism and Post-romanticism”, Lexington Books, 2007).
