About The Artwork

This Digital Free Hand drawing of the beautiful roofs in the Muslim quarter of old Jerusalem was done on the balcony of the ancient " Ha Horva " synagogue. In the background We can see the church of the Redeemer. The drawing is from direct view and also published in my book " Secular and Holy in Line and Color " which is based on tens of digital painting journeys across the length and width of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I am a painter and doctor in physics who shares his time between painting and science. The colorfulness and light in my paintings drew on my childhood in East Africa. In recent years I have developed a Digital Free Hand Drawing technique using a smart phone screen. For the past two years, my smart phone has been used to document six cities around Israel through 600 drawings.
