Taking into consideration the ideals and composition of Giuseppe Arcimboldo, STILL LIFE: FORBIDDEN FRUIT attempts to draw parallels between the desirable nature of fruit and the human figure. The second of two screen prints, FORBIDDEN FRUIT focuses on the idea of shape and oneness within the original illustration; the various colors of the oil paint distract from the overall shape, instead focusing the eye on each individual characteristic of the grouping.
