About The Artwork

Imagery comes from the technique itself (Veil Painting in the Liane Collot'dHerbois Technique). The images are basically from the unconscious mind and are not pre-conceived or imagined but are a result ot the process used. Think of having a camera with you when you dream and you took a quick snapshot of an image you wanted to remember. This technique must be done with transparency of watercolor to reveal nuances/images within the many veils/washes, from which images, etc.are revealed. At which time the artist takes control and embellishes and defines as s/he desires.. Each piece is unique to the artist's sub/unconscious mind and will be a one time unique experience..

A 21st Century Visionary Artist with a lifetime of training in Music, Metaphysical & Spiritual studies, Color & Sound Healing Therapies. Thirty plus years ago was introduced to the Watercolor Technique of Lliane Collot'Herbois by Lois Schroff (Chalice Center for The Arts). Spent two plus years of weekly instruction. This became a way to visually express a combination of my previous metaphysical training. I strive to demonstrate how the invisible world of Living Forces gives birth to what we see as natural forms. This translates to a Fourth Dimension expression in a Three Dimension world. It is like peering through the Veil between the Conscious and the Unconscious Selves. A way to explain is to consider each painting as a "dreamscape" camera snapshot. It is only through color that we can see form, expressed in its many aspects and moods, otherwise we would be invisible to one another and to our surrounding world. There is no sympathy or antipathy for the color choices (Light/Darkness/reacting Color). There is no anticipation of what will manifest, nor a desire to produce a defined result, only a unconscious trust in the process, and the interplay of colors chosen. Restraining the "artistic" imagination to create a picture. While, patiently waiting for imagery to reveal itself. At which time revealed images can be defined and embellished as the artist desires.
