Art Description

Printmaking: Linocuts, Monotype, Screenprinting on Cardboard, Paper, Canvas.

Like the kettlehole (Toteissee), a kind of geological investment casting, disappearance creates new rooms. The lost ice body generates space for a living water. The morphology of disappearance leaves visible marks and traces very similar to those in the physical process of printing. Although being intangible and different for everyone, these traces are universally legible and indispensable. The poetic texts by various authors are about different processes of dissolution: of the body, of the being, of daily routines, of dying. They are juxtaposed with hand printed digitalized illustrations.

Texts by Platon, Fernando Pessoa, Constanze Kreiser, Lars Gustafsson, Ingeborg Bachmann, Imke Kreiser, Marie Luise Kaschnitz, Michelangelo.
