About The Artwork

'Tables in Summer 1' was painted 'plein air', at home,on my front lawn. An informal arrangement of items I had to hand, the flowers were from the garden. When setting up a still life possibility of different arrangements are endless. The only thing I altered was the apricots to lead your eye to the back of the composition, adding depth, also creating space between the vases. It is the sunshine and shadows that makes this image. It is printed on high quality, acid free printmaking paper with margins; A/P or numbered out of 450, titled & signed in pencil. I only have 2 or 3 copies of this original limited editioned serigraph/screenprint left for sale.

I was born in 1961 near Chepstow, in Wales UK. In 1986 opened a fully equipped screen printing/ studio/gallery in North Wales. From here I supplied galleries with original hand separated, hand pulled original limited editioned screenprints of paintings - mostly editions of 50-100. From the early days of my career I had great success with my individual style of garden theme paintings & prints. In 1994 I began work with the leading publisher of original prints, London Contemporary Art. They supplied other publishers and galleries world wide like Parkwest Galleries in Michigan, who also bought many of my paintings. When my work became more established and in greater demand, due to time pressures, I decided after discussions with the publisher to delegate the printing of my artwork to them. Although it was something that gave me a great sense of achievement and artistic satisfaction; this gave me more time to paint. Although enjoying the printmaking process immensely which was extremely protracted I concentrated on just painting canvases I still reside in North Wales where my studio is also located.
