About The Artwork
This piece is hand cut from 350gsm cold pressed watercolour paper then laid over gold sheep skin. The subject photographed for this piece has his life story told in his tattoos. through different phases of his life he has been tattooed to reflect his internal feelings and personal identity. This image was created as part of a solo exhibition held in London in 2018 titled 'Te Reo O Ta Moko - The Language of Ta Moko.
