A wall mounted Sculpture / Functional Art - A Bluetooth enabled/Cassette Player/Radio. Often we only appreciate the true beauty of something when it is all too late. The way we as humans, treat 'outdated' technology, is similar to our treatment of animals, this has and continues to lead to the extinction of entire species, or the unnecessary killing of, purely for our entertainment. The revival/interest in Vinyl and Cassettes shows the love that people have for the mediums, be it those who grew up with them, or those who are discovering them for the first time, they may not be as 'practical' as digital alternatives but they possess a unique quality. I personally was introduced to portable stereos [boomboxes] and rolled Lino, through Hip-Hop. Although from a series of 10 each Sculpture will be produced in a different colour making each unique. Any RAL colour can be produced, special colours/finishes metallics etc. if requested may require additional production time and or incur additional expense. Once plugged in the stereo the Stereo can play Cassettes the radio or Sync with your phone or laptop/computer via bluetooth, allowing for music streaming. The Sculpture is supplied with hanging instructions/written + video. The Sculpture transports in a bespoke Flight Case which incorporates recessed locks and lockable castors.
