About The Artwork
These works are spherical in shape, and made from a multitude of welded rings that come together to be a complete form. At this size of Sphere, all of the individual rings are cut from different diameter of steel pipe, cleaned up, then welded together. The sphere is very strong, having a weld at every possible point of contact, and is also hollow and perforated in design which makes the work dynamic as you move around it. This piece is a formal investigation that also lends itself to mathematical discussion.
