About The Artwork
On a pine wood framed grey emulsion painted MDF board is a shelf holding two small articulated machine curiosities and a miniature bucket. The objects have all been fully constructed from scratch in brass and mild steel. Standing out on the board is a bright red spray-painted brass handle, also constructed from scratch. When turned it makes a rat a tat tat noise. It sounds a bit like one of those old football rattles. What is it winding? What is it operating? Perched at the top is a functioning, commercially made, battery operated clock mechanism, hanging on a nail that has been driven into the board.
