About The Artwork
The avatar concept comes to us from ancient Indian mythology. The avatar is a body that is a receptacle for a piece of the soul of the gods. The most famous of which is Vishnu with many different avatars and the most famous of which is Krishna. The Avatar has supernatural abilities to control the four elements in nature and thus help the gods to control the material world. The avatar was carved in red eucalyptus which is a very difficult wood to carve and requires a lot of skills. A combination of acrylic paints and different oils for the finish.
