About The Artwork
The art of the ballerina in the hands of a master sculptor. The beautiful line and delicate poise that Neil has managed to capture in this piece is truly astounding. Perfectly balanced this exquisite ballerina is an inspiration. She is finished in a pale patina to further emphasize her delicate beauty. Neil chooses to work almost exclusively in bronze because of it's sense of permanence and the intricate nature of his creations. There are many undertones to good patina and Neil personally oversees every part of the bronze process including every unique patination to ensure the highest quality finish. Contemporary yet equally at home in any interior decor. “Belle Danse” is a fine art foundry cast bronze limited of 12, set on a black granite base. Neil is an outstanding figurative bronze artist and one of the most talented contemporary figurative sculptors in the UK. Born in 1972 Neil is much respected in his chosen field and is now considered a master sculptor in a career spanning more than 30 years. Neil is a self taught artist and he started his career as a stage set and props designer in the theatre. It was here that he discovered his love of sculpture. Neil was the main in house prestige sculptor and designer for the world famous Wedgwood ceramics for 7 years. He has also taken on number of high profile commission including portraits of the Queen and royal family . Neil's figurative bronze studies are becoming highly sought after.
