About The Artwork
This piece consists of 3200 hand sharpened pancils standing upright. It not only resembles a bed of nails but it is also the same size and height as a domestic bed. As well as a sculpture, it has also been used as a drawing tool. A large piece of paper was placed on top of the pencil tips before being laid on. The result is a ghostly, grid-like figure.
