ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Blue Mountains : FROZEN OSCILLATION BETWEEN THE DEEP AND THE SURFACE & PERPETUAL INTERACTION BETWEEN THE ELEMENTS ■ 32 elements (11 x 11 x 3 cm) assembled to one field (44 x 88 x 4 cm) ■ Unique combination of synthetic wax, ink and polyethylene foam ■ The used synthetic wax has a very high melting point, sun and high room temperatures do not affect the artwork ■ The surface with its ridges, craters and cracks looks different depending on the light and the angle of view ■ All 25 elements are coated with wax on five sides and mounted on a thin Masonite with integrated hanging system ■ The wall sculpture has a shadow gap so that the edges of the units seem to be floating ■ Signature and date on the back ■ Easy to hang, no framing required ■ Will be shipped in a protective crate

Robausch's wall-objects and freestanding sculptures are built with manually formed aluminum. Every single step in the creative process are made by hand which gives his artworks timeless depth and a unique appeal. Most of his sculptures have a lightweight, stable supporting core enclosed by an aluminum shell. The aluminum surface of his new artworks is painted with iron pigments and is encouraged to rust. Robausch stands outside of the traditional art business. He prefers to explore how to transform the energy and mood of his physical artworks into short digital animations. His specially developed scripts unlock open spaces and times for his art.
