Caged Tree Tower Sculpture

While I was working on a sculpture series using wire mesh, I developed variations on the theme of gold towers. I like vertical forms so I enlarged on the idea using street objects that attracted my creative imagination, like the square metal boxes you see in the picture. The sculpture is created with found natural and man made objects. Hardware store materials attract me so I used the malleable metal to make various forms. Medium: Found crates, logs, branches, gold acrylic paint. I like the freedom of making abstract sculptural forms. It appeals to my sense of fantasy.
