About The Artwork
This new table-sized study is inspired by contemporary dance. What excites me about this dance form is that it pushes the limits of the human body as it moves through space. As a sculpture about dance, this work depicts a movement that not many could pull off. But this work ia about more than an athletic dance movement. It’s about indomitable power of the human spirt. It’s about our ability to withstand and recover from the challenges life sends our way.
