About The Artwork

Public Invited to the Hollywood Sculpture Garden to Meet Artists from Mexico on November 9! The public is invited to the Hollywood Sculpture Garden and Gallery (HSGG) on Wednesday, November 9th at 7pm to see a special presentation by artists from Rosarito Mexico as part of the Cross-Cultural Arts Exchange (CCAE) . Artist Robby Rami Gordon, founder of the HSGG recently formed a partnership with Gretchen Smith of ARThouse Rosarito and Leobardo Sarabia and Ricardo Orozco of Centro Estatal de las Artes Unidad Rosarito (CEART), the state run arts agency in Baja California, to set up a bi-national cultural exchange between artists in Hollywood and Baja Mexico. CCAE is designed to give artists living and working in Baja the opportunity to exhibit their art and travel to Hollywood where they will be presented as feature artists. Additionally, in the future, artists from the United States will be given the opportunity to exhibit their work at the brand new multi-million dollar art center (CEART-Playas de Rosarito) built by the State of Baja California and located just 45 minutes south of the San Diego Border. The first exhibit in Hollywood will feature original sculptures by artists from Mexico including Aida M. Valencia, Ermanno Scalas, Julio Rodriguez and a special presentation of a sculpture by Gretchen Smith created with the help of the children at Casa Hogar Jazmin Elizabeth, a children’s home in Rosarito serving disadvantaged youth. There will be more than 50 additional sculptures on display by additional artists including Robby Gordon, Angel IronMan, Ed Hart, Brian Carlson, Shogi, George Dominguez, Selena Pasetta, Bruce Bermudez, Paul Lindhard, Ernest and Lois Rich, Hugo Heredia Barrera, Kyle Alexander, Jo Hernandez, Jim Heltslay, John Rinaldi, Winston Kingstorm, Joseph De Stefano, Joan Carl. There public reception is Wednesday November 9 at 7pm at the Hollywood Sculpture Garden and Gallery, 2430 Vasanta Way, Hollywood CA 90068.
