Art Description

Sculpture: Fiberglass, Paint, Resin, Acrylic on Other.

This Dancing Bear was inspired by my first animated movie I've ever watched in my life in a theater, The Jungle Book ! It was 50 years ago exactly and I still remember the feeling of it, even if I was only 3 years and half old. My bear is inspired by the Himalayan brown bear that we used to find a lot in the North of India and Nepal, near the Himalaya. It was before the man kind draw the roads into the jungle...hunt them massively and become today "critically endangered." Baloo (Bear in Indi) was singing that we just need the bare necessities to be happy, this is what inspire me today to create this new happy collection. The word "Koh" means island in Thai since the design reminds us of the shape of islands seen from the sky. I wish to bring happiness and optimism to the people by the view, this is the aim of my artist's work ! Please enjoy !
The sculpture can be placed on a low stand which is about 8 kg or a high stand that weight 25 kg.
