About The Artwork
The Goddess Durga traditionally rides a lion mount. Durga is the original mother goddess and is traditionally depicted engaged in battle carrying weapons in each of her many hands. She fights the demon forces that seek to keep us from realizing our truth and connection to The One. Durga’s righteous lion is her constant companion in battle, aiding in her defeat of our egoic tendencies. This piece measures 4 feet long by 3 feet tall and 6 inches off the wall. Made from welded steel and painted with a translucent solvent dye.
