The Cummings twins have studied and acquired fine art degrees in painting and sculpture. They have been producing and exhibiting since the late 1990s. They have had notable Exhibitions including being shortlisted for The Threadneedle Prize in 2010. Mostyn Open / Llandudno major opening of the gallery 2011. Saatchi Art / Ebay 2016. Bankside Residency 2017. They have shown their art in 30+ exhibitions including solo shows. Their artworks always reference the occult, myths and mysticism, these subjects are revived to a contemporary status by utilising technology and modern aesthetics that lend themselves to art movements of the recent century, namely brutalist architecture, minimalism, pop art and currently computer-aided art. The free-standing animal forms are evocative of Greek myths and of Northern European shamanic totems and fables. The wall hangings represent the elementals, deities and also heavenly bodies as planets, characterised by their textured surfaces and colours. Their work lies between manufacture and handmade craft, conflating the old with the new. The processes include using computers, plotters and 3D printers with hand painting and assembly. These sculptures offer up a modern visceral urban folk myth to afford a new status by providing a new kind of perceivable reality, the non-physical digital reality and the mythic
