The main idea behind this collection is to bring light into darkness. “Equinox 22” is a series of sculptures made out of wood and turquoise phosphorescent pigment bonded together. Some pieces are charcoaled making them matt black on the outside. During the day, they absorb light and the sculptural forms can be seen very well. At night, the outer shapes mostly disappear and the luminescent forms glow for the whole night. The most especial time is during dusk (and also dawn) when one can experience this transition of getting darker and darker on the outside and the sculptures glow brighter and brighter out of themselves.
