Orodè Deoro, (Taranto, 1974) lives and works in Lecce, is a self-taught artist, he developed his distinctive ceramic mosaics technique in “Vincent City” a museum house, in Guagnano, Lecce, in the south of Italy where the artist have been living between 2000 and 2004. On the internal and external walls of this place, Orodè realized twenty works of medium and large size which are now there permanently displayed. In 2014 he is among the protagonists of the Triennale Design Museum in Milan with a triptych and a large ceramic mosaic on a wall outside the house of the famous Italian architect and designer, Fabio Novembre. In 2015 he’s been rewarded with the Golden Plate of “Premio Arte” for the sculpture section. Previously, in 2009 he won the Enzo Fani National Award and the Celeste Voto Online Award. In 2017 he starts cooperating with the British brand Victoria+Albert, making a work of art out of a bathtub. In 2018 he is invited to the Second Symposium of contemporary mosaic, at the Academy of Egypt, in Rome, which acquires the mosaic sculpture made during the residence. From 2019 he teaches techniques of mosaic at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce. His works appear on various catalogues and art magazines, including: Montezuma, Fontana, Mirko. “La scultura in mosaico dalle origini a oggi” (collective exhibition at the Mar Museum in Ravenna, curated by Alfonso Panzetta and Daniele Torcellini), Silvana Editions; “Il design italiano oltre le crisi” (Triennale Design Museum 2014, catalogue curated by Beppe Finessi), Corraini Editions; MosaiqueMagazine, January and July 2015; Arte Mondadori (No. 505 September 2015, No. 506 October 2015, No. 507 November 2015); Catalogue of Modern Art.
