ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The love of a father and mother has no measure, they do everything to be able to raise their child, we all have been or are children of loving parents and in love with us so we must reciprocate this affection and love, without them we would not be in this world. This work is inspired and dedicated to fathers and mothers, because they are and will always be examples of faith, love, humility and strength.This work was carved from soapstone, better known as steatite (also talcum stone or soapstone). It is a very soft rock with low hardness, as it contains large amounts of talc in its constitution, thus enabling to sculpt and create both human and animal forms, or even create objects for domestic and ornamental use. toothed hammer, carving hammer, polka, chisel etc. were some of the instruments used to sculpt this work.
