Garden Autumn Stained Glass and Stainless Steel Sculpture

This Stained Glass Garden Art hanging sculpture was one of the five panels I designed and made for the Waveney and Blyth Arts Sculpture Trail in August 2019. It is designed to be hung in a tree or on a pergoda. Double sided mirror segments top and bottom make every viewing unique. It is easily installed using a simple loop of stainless steel wire rope and a metal link locked closed with a threaded nut. A bottom tether can be fitted if there is a danger of it swinging against the tree or pergoda or across a walk way. It weights 3kg and will not swing greatly. It is made in the same way as church windows but has been strengthened with marine grade 4mm diameter stainless steel rods in its side leads and is internally strengthened with copper strips between glass and lead. This means it can be allowed to move with the wind. As well as projecting colour it reflects light off the variety of textured, iridescent, translucent, mirror and opaque glass it contains. Both sides are finished to the same standard. Changing appearance constantly as the sun moves round and light conditions change and the wind blows. It is stained glass as you will not have seen before. The dimensions of the stained glass is 22cm x 81cm It will be shipped well padded in a large double walled cardboard box. Instructions and suggestions for installation will be enclosed together with a wire cable loop to hang it with.
