About The Artwork
When I got this very special stem slice it took me a month and a half to decide what to sculpt in it, yet not every day I find such a large piece of black eucalyptus which is a relatively rare tree to obtain in my country. After drying the tree I decided to preserve the shape of the tree and carve large branches and a small bird resting inside the trunk. The birds according to the belief of the South American natives serve as guardians of the forest piritss and they gave them a lot of respect and today I also get to give them the respect thay deserve.
