This is a maquette of Tony's latest work, abstract figures - tall striking ice-like sentinels of laminated crushed glass, spearing the sky, glowing enigmatically at night. This sale is of the original, to be shown at 'A Decade of Sculpture in the Garden' from June to October 2011, after which it will be available for shipping.

Tony Roberts was born in Kent in 1946. His professional career as an artist started early, working with pen and brush as a young monk. Now, in retirement and long out of monastic life, his artistic practice has greatly expanded, including glass sculptures and canvas works in private and public collections worldwide, mostly to commission. Much of his current work involves multiple disciplines and media in each single work.
