La vida engulléndose a sí misma: un paraguas (Life engulfing itself: an umbrella) ,first piece of an ongoing serie An old umbrella and the fabric of a dress, both transformed into a textile sculpture. Shapes and textures intertwine, reminding us of that eternal question: What to do with so many objects and materials that cease to have a purpose and use value? Over the years, I have searched for answers that vary according to time and circumstances. This time, the answer takes shape here, in the fusion of discarded memories and utilities, creating something new and meaningful. The sculpture is testimony to an ongoing process of reinvention and reuse, a reflection on our relationship to the things we once valued and now seek to redefine.
