Love is in the House Sculpture

I live in South Dakota, U.S.A. I have a degree in Geological Engineering. While traveling the American West while in pursuit of placer gold I began collecting relics and rocks. Around the beginning of the new millennium I was focused in the Black Hills when I discovered a trove of interesting artifacts from the early days of the gold rush and the years after. This gave me the impetus to begin constructing assemblages from this material as well as a variety of earth materials (such as lapidary stone, crystals, fossils, bone, coal, wood, magnetite sand, and gold). The resulting work is what I like to call 'art from the earth'.
