Sculpture, Found Objects on Other
Size: 5 W x 12 H x 3 D in
The MEASURE CHAIRS are for fun, but they also speak about what it means to be human and trying to "measure up". They are about making sure one measures up to the expectations of parents, peers, the culture. Eternally "trying" to MEASURE UP mentally, physically, spiritually to some misconceived idea of who one "should" be. I guess with this work I'm telling myself -- "I'm not a mighty ruler, but my worth is IMMEASURABLE."
