About The Artwork
This piece makes a great statement in a garden, entrance way or out in a field. It was made from Corten steel, welded then a patina was applied or created. I have applied a clear coat to preserve its look. Eventually the steel will darken even further to develop a more rustic look. Sometimes you have items or people that just seem to go together. That instant attraction or obvious pairing just feels natural. It can be as simple or silly as peanut butter and jelly to something as important as love at first sight. A proper pairing or union can bring tremendous joy or a feeling of completeness. In this sculpture, the two semi-circles are symbolic of those parts which when joined together, make the circle whole or complete. Art can appear to be simple or fun, but when you spend more time looking at it and reflecting upon its meaning, it can be surprisingly complex. This sculpture is approximately 70 inches tall, 24 inches wide, and the base is 16 inches in diameter. If you are within a few hours driving distance from the Washington, DC area I can drop it off. Otherwise, it will be shipped in a wooden crate.

I have been interested in art in almost every form since middle school. I still remember going to my grandparents’ house and my grandmother teaching me oil painting and my grandfather teaching me woodworking skills.
