About The Artwork
The sculpture is made of alder wood and placed on sandstone. The author used several techniques in making sculptures, including turning and carving. Means of minimalism are combined with natural forms of the female body. Small strokes of the cutter emphasize the texture of the shape of warm wood. The work appeals to ancient Greek mythology - the goddess of victory, also known as Nike. Her posture should be light and graceful, like a feather.
