No Title (beach ball bound on painting) Sculpture

This assembled art work represents my critical view on painting. It was an impulsive act. I had this boring painting, bought from internet, but did not what to do with it. Then I saw an air filled beach ball and found a rope at the same time. I had to bound the ball pontifical to the framed still life, it was an intrinsic motivated act. This art work (No Title (beach ball bound on painting)) was also the subject of my own initiated art price, the Jordy Koevoets Art Price 2018. Who copied this art work best, was the winner. This critical but playful art price was a statement about all doubtful art prizes in The Netherlands. Who wins actually, the artist or the organisation? What does it mean tow in an art price? Why are there so many prices in art? What is the meaning of a jury? Can you judge art?
