About The Artwork

Zeus, the father of the Gods, gave the order to create women. "Pandora" the first female creature. Shaped out of clay and sent to Earth by Zeus, who took vengeance on Prometheus, who stole fire from heaven in order to reignite it on earth. Pandora entered the planet equipped with a supply jar and the divine verdict to never open it. However, Pandora opposed the orders of the creator, driven and enticed by her curiosity, she opened the box and all evils of the world unfolded. Hard labour, sickness and death spread throughout the world. And as we are all directly descended from Pandora we all have temptation within us. And yet: what would life be without curiosity? There remains one question: To what extend should we consider if it is really necessary to open the boxes of the world again and again, despite having already guessed the consequences? We are confusing faith and hubris?
