ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Created with just two segments of blue iridescent translucent glass this stained-glass sculpture changes appearance dramatically with just slight changes in light conditions and angle of viewing. This is further enhanced by swaying slightly if there is any breeze at all. The glass is iridescent and smooth on one side and slightly textured on the other. It is leaded stained glass so it is weather proof and could be placed outside in the ground or a pot, or inside in a pot. It is 2.7 inches (6.8cm) wide and 22 inches (56cm) tall with a single 16.6inch (42cm) leg. The leg and frame is made from marine grade stainless steel. It is siliconed into the outer lead channel, the lead has been smoothed around it and strengthening clips soldered on. The photos show it in a variety of light conditions. As well as sparkling and projecting a beautiful cobalt blue when in sun, it reflects light in shady conditions.
