About The Artwork
I have created a number of wall mounted "expanding square" pieces over the years , using a variety of materials, primarily aluminum pipe and tubing, square and round. "Purple Squares" is unique in that it is made of copper flat bar framed in a shallow aluminum box. The painted squares are supported on pins and from most directions, appear to be floating weightlessly. The piece comes with a custom hanging bracket which should be utilized as the work itself is considerably heavy.
