About The Artwork

This large scale,, abstract wall sculpture reflects my interest in ancient cultures. ” “Ra” was the Egyptian sun god. The sun’s rays are stripped oak wood from the forest I lived in, and the sphere of the sun is shaped, painted canvas. The materials are archetypal for me. Whenever possible I use natural sources. Viewers will experience a sense of awe, strength, peace, warmth, power. The work is suitable for corporate, hospital, school or large home placement.
