About The Artwork
REFLECTION, wall object Dimension: total with resin ball and mirror: 14x14,5x2 cm wooden square ornament 10x10x1 cm Year of creation: 2024. The mirror is firmly glued with mirror silicone. Solid wood square ornament is painted with acryl color and with small shine pieces which discreetly twinkle like stars in the depths of space. The final layer is resin. Very discreet and magical. In the down is mirror ornamnet with copper wire, copper dome and hot glue, colored with acyril color. On the left top corner is one resin ball. The copper chain is above the mirror collored with LOS patina. That is hommage to climate change. Ornaments on and around the wooden tile give a sense of dynamism and movement. I love movement and playfulness in harmony. This wall object belongs to the cycle ENERGY, he is SATELITE. Few of them on the wall will be nice. Post in my blog about inspiration. has a degree in Textiles and Fashion Design from the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb, capital of Croatia. . She has been making unique clothes, doing textile painting, patchwork, quilt, hand weaving, digital design and print, experimental techniques, textile sculptures, space and wall objects, makes silver jewelry and jewelry in soldering technique. She exhibits her work at the independent and group exhibitions in galleries, museums and at fashion shows in Croatia, Slovenia, Israel, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, the USA and Spain. She has worked for the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek, for a number of years has organized cultural projects in Djakovo and has been awarded on different occasions for her artistic work. In different cycles of her work she looks into how the psycho-social, economic and ecological influences shape the visual identity of a certain period of time and how the technological and scientific advances affect the use of material in art creation. All this has been expressed in her cycle of work "Panonian Games", "Waiting for Godot", "Timeless", "Frontal Tam-Tam", "Pillows", "The Smell of Burning" , "Meshes & Mysteries" and so on. Vesna Kolobaric is a member of ULUPUH (The Croatian Association of Artists of Applied Arts) and HZSU (Croatian Freelance Artists' Association).
