About The Artwork
I videotaped harbour reflections and later processed them using fractal software. The resulting images were very colourful abstractions. I used one frame grab as the basis for this composition. The result for me suggests the brilliance of water and its potential for lively colour.

I started as a photographer when in my mid-teens I was hired as a street photographer at a holiday resort in England. Later, under Victor Pasmore and Richard Hamilton, I studied Fine Arts at the University of Durham. In Canada, I am Professor Emeritus at the University of Regina and was formerly Adjunct Professor at New York University. Currently I am Artist in Residence at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society, University of Victoria.
