This design just came from an inspired sketch for an unusual piece of Carrara marble that I acquired. Although a simple form, she captures an air of confidence and serenity. She is a wonderfully flowing and curvaceous design with a beautifully tactile polished finish

I’m a British stone sculptor drawn to the beauty and resilience of stone. I carve forms that explore movement, femininity and the subtle emotional worlds that live beneath the surface. My process is a blend of intuition and design. Sometimes I begin with sketches; other times I let the stone guide me, revealing curves and contours as I carve. What matters most to me is creating sculptures that feel alive - pieces that hold stillness, strength and a sense of intimate connection. Before becoming a full-time sculptor, I worked as an art teacher, a professional sports trainer and in the healing arts. Even though I am a self-taught carver, these experiences naturally shaped how I understand form, flow and emotional expression in stone. Every sculpture becomes a dialogue between body, material and emotion. I am increasingly interested in how form can carry a frequency - a feeling that resonates with the viewer. I have exhibited in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, and my pieces are now held in private collections internationally. I currently work from my studio in East Sussex and now focus mainly on commissioned works for clients seeking a unique, hand-carved sculpture with its own story and presence. For me, carving is both creatively physical and meditative - a way of bringing something timeless and quietly powerful into the world.
